One of our juniors successfully graded over the weekend to gain their 2nd Kyu brown belt and passed with flying colours. 12 yr old Layla conducted herself perfectly over the 70 mins grilled by senior instructor Sensei Andy Walker.

Layla’s future at Poole Ju jitsu looks bright. She is now the highest graded junior at the club and that’s with her junior coaching qualification which she picked up before lockdown. Layla was watched on by her mum who was delighted with her daughter’s character and skill shown throughout the grading. Layla can relax and focus on her school work until she has covered the elements of the 1st Kyu syllabus and move onto looking at the black belt grading in two years time.
